far out, must be a bunch of game dogs if they are anything like the fiesty eels ive come across

 

i found rolling them in the sand here makes them easier to grab, also when you touch them the slime seems to make all the skin(top layer) on your hands peel off, does that happen to u guys over there

they also lie in rock pools when the tide goes out, there was a programe [paul young]showing a bloke hunting them with a terrier on a fishing programe a while back, the dog was marking them under rocks and he was pulling them out with a pole

I had never taken the dogs on the beach before, and it was there first experience of salt water :blink: which I found amusing.Tha eel did have large backwards facing teeth and bit the old red lake.After I got it off them they were away checking all the rocks out :11:

yes ruby i see you used two dogs to flush it ,and was shot with the water pistol  :whistle:  :whistle:  top hunting mate  good to keep within the law  :11:  :11:  :11:

There was a piece on Clarissa and the countryman about it a few years back. Johnnys russell found one. Bloke he was with uses a dog to find them regular.

seen this on river cottage with hugh. does anyone know the name of the stuff you use as an artificial substitute to train a dog to find them. put it on something and then rewred for a find then take them out and you can get them to find the real deal. serious cash to be made on them.
