Many say that mate a won't go back. But they get itchy feet I've had it. Even fishing I've taken lads to some spots an then following week after some other c**ts there. Because they've spoken about it. It's shit that it has to be that way. Am not saying you will. But you know where I'm coming from.

he knows i dont need to mate say you run twice a week for 5 month you only had 4 spots thats only ten times each spot in a season mate i have a lot more then 4 lol

Yeah but if there's good numbers an your killing good numbers say 3 ,4 start of season twice a week for 3 months. Then 2 , 3 each day twice a week. Them numbers ad up in that 5 months. That's why your better of doing your own things. An if land good don't show any f****r.

If a came away with around 30 from September to back end of jan I'd be happy. But them days have gone good numbers. Keepers are killing them in numbers. A can remember watching a video on YouTube. An a couple of c**ts were sat in cover driving them to guns. f***ing hares must have been at least 150 hares. That was one sitting. So you imagine that was happening all over. Still will be but not them numbers. It was game on for keepers when ban came out with dogs.

Happening all over this now mate look at the numbers here. Just one days shoot. Hares don't stand a chance but with a dog they do. But they won't ban this due too the money it pulls in.

id say top dogs running good land seed and fair slips will stop between 60and 90 a season daytime 

best i done ever was the season i had before me heart attack 83 me pal do 50 odd but 6 spots to go at you wouldn’t clear it mate there’s more then ya think

I’m pleased to say hares are thriving round here.

Theres allways been plenty, this is the land where the the greatest Waterloo Cup dog, Fullerton , was raised and schooled.

Now they are coming down from the fells onto local fields that are being left for “re-wilding”, along with plenty roe.

Its fairly normal to see 20’s and odd times up to 30 on a couple of fields when lamping.

It wasn’t long ago I took five from one field with an old deer cross lamping, just along the road from me. I could have had more but what was the point, two were taken out the seat. 
Concerning hare shoots, I’m neither for nor against them, another man’s sport isn’t my business, but I have been on one hare shoot, it was an end of season beaters day for the keepers and beaters of the pheasant shoot.

Apart from a bit of sport , they say it’s to keep the numbers under control, three hares eat the same amount as one sheep.

The white hare shoots are because the hares carry a tic that affects the grouse.

Not excuses from me, just looking at it from all points of view.

It's not the sport, how many farmers wipe them out with guns to prevent lads running them, that has been happening for ages now.
