Leo Sayer 3,624
Took the new bow down the permission woods . It packs down well into a rucksack and shoots great , really happy with it. Got some broadheads groupings at 18 yards and then did some stump shooting on beer cans at same range .

I only really buy budget Chinese bows tbh, you absolutely have to buy another string , a fast flight Flemish string off eBay for between £15 to £30 as the strings that come with them are junk. I just use now a peace of Velcro on the arrow shelf and Velcro strips on top of risers to make it quieter. And that's it really , I shoot with a glove as tried tabs and just don't like them. I've never worn an arm guard as my form is correct so never twatted my arm at all with the string so optional I reckon. You can get a trad bow called a Black Hunter for about £80 stick another £20 on for a decent string and you got a decent bow. I seen people on the forums drop all sorts with one elk pigs whitetails. Read the reviews of black Hunter bows. And obviously arrows, this is were buying cheap fcuks up. You need decent arrows with a correct spine to suit the bow otherwise they won't be accurate. That new bow above was £150 and it came with fur on arrow rest and I spent another 30 notes on a decent string and that was it , it was ready. But if you was to go abroad and bowhunt. It really is the individual and not the equipment. Field craft and perseverance and skill as you need to get to 10 yards of your quarry. I think it's a very skilled form of hunting tbh.
