Yeah looks good , would love a gander ŕound there and would probably spend a fist full of dollars in there too. Love the old taxidermy as my late grandfather was a taxidermist.
Leo Sayer 3,624
Too hot today mooch with mutt. So went down woods do some what the yanks refer to as stump shooting. You use a judo head on your arrow and it doesn’t break the arrow or impregnate so far. But instead of shooting tree stumps I was shooting the crackheads beer cans. Few shots at 15 and twenty yards. Was nice and peaceful apart from the bloody parakeets squawking above me .

I was talking to lad earlier who shoots a bow he said he only uses the traditional ones tho an said he pretty nifty with it after a few years a practice, said he had a few species off deer in America with it off invites he got off a forum, he was telling us today he pretty much don’t miss, but some yank lad told him to start throwing floaters out in a pond an try hitting them, he said it’s the hardest thing he ever tried haha

Got to get a lot closer to your quarry. Also I target shoot on my permissions and I reckon I would look like John Rambo in Rambo 3 wandering about with a compound. But a little 3 peace recurve or 2 peace longbow breaks down and fits in a rucksack and takes seconds to assemble. To be honest mate I've fell in love with it, a real good stress buster after work. Would love to hunt abroad. That's a good tip about the river and floaters. Cheers

Cheers He was saying when he does it he just tied a rope across the narrow part of water down stream, an that catches his targets, says he pays his kids to go an Chuck them in upstream now so he has to be quick about it as don’t know when they coming haha but said he started out on big puddles in fields mate, he gonna bring it onto farm next week, we got some real big grain sheds so gonna sort out some bales an have a bit of a go an see what it’s like I tried it with kids years ago at some daft holiday club but it was a compound bow I was using an the ones kids had were little traditional ones, I got them a little kids compound bow after it but after a few weeks an a load a complaints haha I had to take it off them an now it’s stashed away at back of shed haha only a toy aswell but it got a bit power behind it haha

I’ve ad lurchers for over 30 plus years and never really been interested in guns or shooting apart from air guns for pheasants ect and done a bit ruff shooting with shottys now and again , but wasn’t my bag tbh. But to harvest large and small prey with a stick and string is amazing. It’s so natural mate. I thing that’s why I enjoy hunting with a catty .

Iv never even tried applying for my firearms or shotgun cert mate, I got sick a guns in army an it was nowt tk do with violence or death haha haha it was purely sick of cleaning the cnuting things, even on most my jobs now I’ll only use air gun as last resort, an if it’s summat that needs a proper rifle to get it done I’ll pass job onto a pal haha but I was saying earlier to the lad, I don’t know if I could be trusted with a bow an arrow lay about, I reckon I’d have to have a go at the local roe or summat haha Edited May 1 by WataWalloper 3

Leo Sayer 3,624
Treated myself, got a new bow . A ILF ( international limb fitting) Longbow . Quite rare these , it just means the bow limbs just click in n out with out bolts. Super quick to put together and not often seen in traditional longbows. I know this sounds boring, but this bow is super sexy . 45lb draw and has first 3 shots and love it . Also had some attractant stuff delivered for my photography.
