I’ve never had one on soft plastics but I catch them on little hardbaits when I’m after trout . The duo ryuki spearhead 50 and jackal tricoroll ryushin 38 seem to catch more chub than the others for me . I do get grayling on little soft plastics though 5 Quote Link to post

neil r 2,035 Posted Tuesday at 19:17 Report Share Posted Tuesday at 19:17 Just been making some tiny jigheads with 0.1 - 0.15 - 0.2 - 0.25 & 0.3 gm tungsten beads on 18-14 hooks to use with little soft plastics like these . I’m going to try on the canal for roach and bream and the rivers for dace , gudgeon and even minnows with them 4 1 Quote Link to post

I was at the top of the sandbank on the bend and the bloke was just upstream to my left at the end of the straight . The others were off the stretch above the m6 bridge . I was on the club side but you can get day tickets from the tickled trout garage for the other side and either fish from there or drive a few hundred yards back towards Blackburn and fish gregsons farm 1 Quote Link to post

Been watching YouTube vids of people fishing for silvers and fancied a go at it so got all the hooks , beads , uv resin and uv torch off aliexpress only takes minutes to make a few . From what I’ve seen it needs pretty good conditions to cast such light weights and if it’s windy it’s not happening . I’ve got a new 0.2-1.5gm extra ultralight set up to cast it aswell because my normal 1-5gm bfs setup wouldn’t be up for much below 0.8gm . Gone for the thinnest braid I could find at 0.04 and I’m thinking of trying an ester line on another reel to see how it compares . Not managed to get out yet because of the weather but had a quick cast out back with a 0.2 jighead and it cast surprisingly well . 1 1 Quote Link to post
Borr 8,798
Bit milder , still some ice about on canal , rain and wind so I went to a spot that is usually too busy for my liking , fished a white spikey on the way out for a small jack and a perch , water was quite clear so swapped to a more natural dark perch, and took another jack with that... 1 Quote Link to post
