The first place I got mine from advised feeding sow nuts as they were high in protein, so that's what I've always done. Then on top of that we go round collecting as many apples as we can put our hands on. Lots around if you ask. Pumpkins at Halloween. Ask local veg stall for spoil etc.

Can't beat home made. You know what's going in for your kids. Was listening on TV other day about these pouches of food for young toddlers. Ment to have loads of vitamins in for their growth. When tested for vitamins C in one pouch it was showing 0.05 % vitamin C lol. So ripping off parents. Instead of the parents growing veg and fruit. Putting it through the nutra bullet. Crazy.

ryaldinhio 5,132
Day playing about in veg side. Weeded and tillers 2 new beds, plus added a small one for a row of raspberries. Hoops added for the netting. Now got all beds in planning on getting some below ground water pipe around where I need and finishing new chicken run and then I can sort all pathways out. On the livestock front I've decided to only keep chickens for eggs so will be dropping to 6/8 hens. Got my name down on 2 Berkshire blacks for the end of July, try a different breed again.

Best quote was "the ones that dont get fly blown are manic depressive and spend all their time trying to find another way to die......and if they can't figure out a good way to go they just lie on their back and die that way" I decided not to bother 1
