Y'all keep forgetting I can barely English much less understand the kings English most of the time Now here's a thing . I always thought moocher was an American term for a tramp or scavenging begger! Means pretty much the same over here as in someone scrounging stuff for nothing or just hanging about aimlessly. Sneaking about trying to kick up something for a dog to chase is a fairly recent use of the word . It sounds less illegal than casual poaching Surely the infamous " Minnie The Moocher " was American? She Mooched her way to the top !
