Popular Post South hams hunter 8,996 Posted September 25, 2022 Popular Post Report Share Posted September 25, 2022 Took a nice walk up there with the girls, a nice 3/4 mile walk,some awesome views and plenty of climbing. Nice and easy with it being up hill there and down hill back; We saw linnets, greenfinch, long-tail tits, skylarks, redwings, wheatear, redwing, Jay's, ravens, bullfinch, chaffinch, stonechat and probably a few more. Also saw a few slow worms, ponies, sheep and various caterpillars and butterflys. Mushroom wise we picked some bay boletes and ceps (could have filled a bag for life) but found many more including what I think are false chanterelle but will check next week when they are bigger and some I need to identify. We got to the pool and had a small picnic and O went for a swim, I bet her a quid she couldn't do a width or jump off the rocks. Got back to the car and got done for 20 quid at the ice cream van. Think I counted 9 tors I could see today from different spots; down,pew and sheep's I know but the other where small in comparison Quote Link to post Share on other sites
