our gun shops are nothing like yours in us...just little shops..in the main...get 5 people in....and somebody would have to step outside...

the castle that filmed harry potter was filmed is actually in England...

You can go on the train tracks that were in Harry Potter, its on the west coast, the big viaduct Bridge that is in one of the scenes is there, beautiful area and would be a stunning train journey...

Had very good fishing on the west coast, sea fishing or game fishing...

We stayed near Mailag a few years back and it was stunning...

Edinburgh is a great city with loads of history, glencoe and into the the Highlands for fantastic scenery...

Honestly she might try and talk me into buying her a nice air rifle as a souvenir ??

Edinburgh’ the City is top drawer’ prob my fav in the world Iv visited.

History ‘Culture ‘ Architecture.

The Castle - Royal Mile- Princess Street, all the little cobbled streets running off these. Black Bob the Loyal little terriers grave and story which is right near the little cafe where JK Rowling wrote her books.

The Highlands is a must’ Loch Ness’ Fort Augustus ‘ Drumnadrocit ‘Urquart  Castle all along the same stretch of road that straddles the west side of Loch Ness .

There is a thousands of years old Cairn Just outside Drumnadrocit and a lovely little Stone Bridge at Invermortison on the same stretch of road built by Thomas Telford.

The Royal Marine Memorial is at Spean Bridge which yous pass on route from Edinburgh.

Culloden Battle Field is not far away just outside Inverness.

It was the last pitched battle on British soil April 1746 between The Jacobites and Bonny Prince Charlie and The Brits and Hanoverians .

The visitor Center and battle field is well worth a visit as is the Loch Ness cruise out of Fort Augustus .

Isle of Skye is stunningly beautiful .

The Cullin mountains as a back drop to the Fair Pools ‘Old man of Storr ect

The Whole area will blow your mind.

Id say visit august if you can.

Get tickets for the Edinburgh Military Tattoo early august 2023 then push on up into the Highlands and Islands .

You will enjoy whatever you do.

Its a Great Country .

Thank you very much , I'll look into these

No license needed for sea fishing

If you want to game fish (salmon, sea trout and brown trout) you will need a valid rod license (can buy on line) and will pay to fish the river/Loch when applicable...every river/Loch will be different, some will be free... if you fish the sea lochs for sea trout, you won't need a license.

Just go into any gun shop in Glasgow and explain to one of the customers that you are new in town and ask him to step outside. He'll oblige you.
