I'd not suggest we do  less but that we adapt how, as in starting and finishing a bit earlier in areas that don't have the numbers. Taking the same numbers but avoiding taking out milky does. Each doe is two litters,  say 10 rabbits,  over the spring/early summer and they are the soft targets, easy catches so we tend to catch them in higher numbers lamping once breeding starts.

Shooting in the summer time dos alot of harm in summer time But Disease is the Biggest problem here with rabbits . Rabbits have been breeding all year round for as long as I can remember I've been letting these go when I can from December watt can we do lads all the best ? for the rest of the season

I was lucky enough to be invited by Northernlite , (Davey) for a four day trip up to the Cairngorms. For a lurcher enthusiast it was a trip of a lifetime, stayed in a grouse shooters cottage, had free

Wet doesn't seem to put rabbits off of breeding like a hard cold period. Lack of nutritious food is part of the reason and mild wet winters means the grass is still growing throug most of the year.

Who believes in climate change ? me personally think it's a natural thing the world goes through every now and again look at many ice ages we have had no matter watt we do it's going to happen anyhow

It might be a natural event but I don't think the overpopulation is helping the planet. We need less people which equals more game ?.

Seems to be happening in a lot of countries, it's going to get a lot worse.

The climate is certainly strange just now; yesterday I walked down to my Allotments and it was like a spring day, dafs and crocus out, about a month early up here, and blue sky.

Then last night I went out for a shine with the pup and it was blowing a gale and the sleet was coming horizontal and bloody freezing !

Today, blue sky, calm but cold.

Cheers.

Just gave the pup two slips. She did fine, ran down the beam, put a couple of bends in and lost the hares both times through fences, and returned back when the lamp went off.

She seems a quick learner, but is still only young so I don't want to over do it with her ?

Cheers.
