Was my mum's fav , the Oldman had mk 2s as a young man and pushed them to the scrappy , had xj6s after that but said they should've gone over to v8

This old fella lives up the road to me , had dramas seconds after this pic his rad blew 500 yrds from the entrance

Nice ones gentlemen.Out of curiosity is there any ratrods over yalls way?  I always thought something classic from yalls side ratted out would be nice.

Over where you are the rust is just cosmetic, surface rust, over here when you see rust appearing, its usually too late for the car lol

Used to see the odd one at the VW shows 10/15 yrs back ...they all  ratting the old split screens and drop the suburu /legacy turbo lumps or if your a purist the Carrera 911 lumps..my mate does lots of the Subaru conversions for folks..my mates are behind this... actually on this weekend,I didn't go because Mrs and myself had work this weekend

Alot of the ratrods you see on the internet  over here are people who paid alot of money for a paint job like that lol.

I would love to see an old roles Royse sanded down,primers grey with red pinstripes,no mufflers,coon tail on CB antenna with a pirate flag out the back.

Same here mate,gone are the days of finding them and paying a couple of hundred pounds ,fixing them up and selling on for a good drink...my pal and his wife just give best part of 40k for a new type transporter van with a conversion,pop up roof,rock and roll bed...they don't have the character of the old buses imo,I was mad for the VW's in my younger days ,had a few street sleepersmk 2 polo with a 20v turbo conversion from  a seat Ibiza,t3 van with a full suburu sti prodrive conversion,911 gearbox and brake conversion from a 2004 Carrera gt4,...had golfs,mk1,2,4's,5's a corrado 16v ,vr6. Always wanted a g40 polo but found a Renault GT5 and dropped a Volvo turbo lump into it f***ing weapon
