Gents to say I’m excited is an understatement I’ve just sold my old ProQ smoker on eBay and it surprised me how much I got for it so I took the plunge and have upped my game to an American Pit Boss Au

Buddy did a little BBQ for mother's day

Was nearly 9 hours in the end , melt in your mouth

Lazy comes into mind. 🤣🤣

Quite the opposite really,  if i were lazy I'd happily pull up chair with a beer a throw a stick on every 15 minutes,  im a round arse,  can't sit still for more than 5 minutes,  I can set the pellet smoker up and forget about it , go do something else 😀

Pulled pork you need at least 4-5 hours for a full shoulder, low and slow mate, rest it and when you shred it get the juices and some BBQ sauce (homemade or shop bought) in there ;)

I do it in the oven and put a metal plate of wood chips on the bottom and a tray on the middle rack to catch all the juices. I have a "special" square shaped fan that I stick in the kitchen window to draw out the smoke coz it stinks the house out and the Mrs and neighbours kick off! Fuuck 'em it tastes divine and they soon shut up when I slap a butty in their hands

I've done about 20 of them, but trying a few more things like yellow mustard binder and an applejuice spritzer, I'm doing two different rubs one a standard paprika garlic onion salt pepper one and a more salt pepper thyme type one....see how it goes...

I use frenchies mustard binder for mine works a treat and it’s not too overpowering and scrumpy jack as my spritzer.

That's what I use, apple vinegar, dark soy sauce, and my own chilli olive oil. Mix it together and mop baste not spray.

Is there an advantage doing a spray over mopping?

I don't think so other than you can disturb the bark more with a mop, spray is easier I guess , lift the lid squirt close lid lol.
