If you are referring to the 2500, its not a different size. Its the same trap without the housing. I have one i use for mink.

Heres my one. To be honest I find if I set the Kania plus a fenn on the river for mink, I'll catch quicker with the fenn. The Kania is a very humane trap, but the fenn or bodygrip win every time when it comes to versatility. 

P.s yes, same spring, same size etc

Sunny, can you tell us more about the contraption on the left? Looks like something you'd see in New Zealand or Australia.

i have..but only once....2 half grown squirrels at the same time....one dead....one by the back leg.....

but like i say very rare....and as you say a great trap
