Speaking of how they throw, does anyone think that depending on which way they throw, determines which parent they throw more closest to? For example, me and my brother, looks wise I've thrown like my mother and my brother looks more like my old man, but does this run deeper with traits because trait wise it's pretty much bang on as well. Lol there will be a bit more variation you south yorkshire men from pit villages are a bit more linebred lol 2 Quote Link to post

Do you know what I'm getting at? Say you bred two completely different dogs, the smooth bitch is known for her relentless stamina and the feathered dog is known as a speed demon. Now would those pups that are smooth and look like the bitch have that relentless athletic capability and the feathered dogs would have less in the tank but that devastating pace? As I said, old bulldog men do believe that depending on the phenotype depends what traits you'll get. Quote Link to post

Lol You read about similar things in the bulldog world as well, I'm sure it's the same in the lurcher world as well, and that will include their natural athletic performance. But if there's any truth to them throwing to either parent maybe we will see that play out, Scotty will know best because he has a direct comparison. Quote Link to post
