I do, if I’m aware he was a major contributor. And I refuse to listen to, or give any credit for the influence of the likes of Wacko Jacko, Pete Townsend etc. I’m certainly not coming on a public forum to laud his achievements. That’s like eulogising Fred West by saying he could lay a lovely patio, and ignoring the other ‘aspects’ of his life. 2 1

Personally I think his music is amazing.
chartpolski 28,017
To me, this all relates to The Grebsters post on Lewis Hamilton....... Can you admire and appreciate someone's achievements, but think they are a dispicable person ? I think , yes you can, but there's a moral dilemma in buying their merchandise, but listening to music they produced for other artists opens a whole new debate. Cheers.

If we lived true to that standard we would all have empty houses and no memories.

Yes. If you can separate the merit from the personal. Doesn't mean you have to admire the the whole. Would you agree that is one of the big problems in society today? That people have to either fully disregard, or embrace, something without looking at the individual pros and cons?

Greb147 6,810
Just now, sid g said: german or japanese cars How far do we go on this? I'm sure most on here would label Churchill as the "greatest" Britain in history. How does it sit with people that he collaborated with a mass murderer that in all likelihood eclipses Hitler.
