can you summarize it for me ,so much reading !   I think it’s simply saying what people that go outdoors a lot have been seeing and saying for years the red fox is developing into two sub species with urban foxes now roughly 40% smaller than there rural cousins in a nutshell, and that’s just by using my eyes without the need to measure there heads and copy and paste??

On the subject of fox’s and differences, since doing my cameras I have seen two black Fox’s, one in the flesh and one on a camera both were in rural locations but both were much smaller than reds, other black mutations like squirrels and rabbits stay the same so are the black ones just reds with melanism or is that another sub species ????

It's the same with leopards, black leopards are smaller than the spotted ones.

I read a scientific study report that proved melanin levels go hand in hand with violent behaviour.

White lab rats are no accident. Docile and compliant creatures. But, this study bred for increased melanin. Blacker the rats, more crazy and aggressive they became.

I think foxes in fur farms, without doing a search ,are a subspecies of the red .Smaller and thicker furred .

Yep. I'd definitely concur with that. Again, only from seeing them ~ in captivity ~ on the chube. But, their fur depth seems to be off the fukking charts.
