Yeah I know them lot I use to buy diesel of Tommy Thurston and Tommy are  brothers they still live with there mum next to the canal drink has a proper grip of both of them now sadly

They always did mate. Thursden built my wall, got me perm with Ken, good chap. Tommy the same, good lads and would do owt for ya... shame really. I remember telling Thursden one day after he toppled his bike/trailer contraption get you and it in the van you tit and behave

Yes she's still going I drop them sawdust of once a month for hens she still tenders the veg patches the big orchard at the back as gone all houses now right up to the back field that bike and trailer ended up in the canal with Thurston after he forgot to pull the brakes pissed but there a decent pair of lads like you say I got Thurston a gardening round up lea does about 10 gardens a week him and Tommy blew there big inheritance from there dad most went on beer

Used to be a proper old school place around there mate, even with the new (now old) estates. I was on a piece of Ken's land (opp the roundabout up from the cotty) near the new build up towards the sports centre/fields and some cnut phoned the old bill, they rocked up and shouted across the fields "K is that you" lol I said yeah and you just fuucking lost me a couple of rabbits ya cnuts lol. Fun times.

No wasn't me mushroom yeah I was gutted I missed Thurston going in yeah he still grafts then come 11 of to the pub Tommy the same I use to have that hedge directly opposite cotty  under train tracks all snared up use to be full of rabbits you did well getting on there he wouldn't let anyone when I asked  that said there use to be a bit of stuff kicking about so the odd sneak over and back out without him seeing could be worth it

Thursden got me Ken's land, trust got me the rest mate  Does Ken's son now run it then?

That train line running from back of the house opposite cotty, all the way up to the stables was my bread and butter for ferret and dog food lol as said I had perm on the golfie (Graham was head groundsman in them days) so the back of that train line was always the best place. If you go on the golfie and head up the Roman rd, look to the left before you leave the course and you'll see a small patch of birch trees... full of mushies

We must of bumped in to each other  at some point at that time I had 2 lurchers and a couple of terriers I use to dig a few earths at the back of the golf course down near the brook I had perm on there and all of the other side of Blackpool rd down to the river I use to ferret on the civil defence bit between cotty and thurstons on my way up to salwick all way down the lines one way back home the other side it was lifting with rabbits I haven't  seen Ken in years so I'm not sure to be honest

Weren't many young nob heads around there wandering about with a rifle/shottie slung over their shoulder and a staffy by't side

Ken must be taking it easy now then Weren't a day went by you wouldn't see him knocking about on his big red.... cracking eggs and one real nasty as fuuck collie to stop you getting in the gate to get a tray

they were a dodgy bunch them mush who's the friend of you don't mind me asking did you ever hear about the lad that got battered by all the keepers with  pheasant feeders at salwick that was me and my dog just stood there I was covered in food and shit and claret cnut just looked on
