I was thinking of doing that instead of people paying them rip off price for the plastic ones,them that I’ve built are heavy to so not get moved about off the dogs.

The boxes are 3ft long 2ft wide 2ft high mate and the shed were the pens are in is 10x10

I done the same but for bigger dogs. I figured I could go 500x800 ID on one sheet of materials. I pretty much just glued everything in laminations. Seems to hold the warm well anyway.

I got them from my neighbour as he does building work and got them out of a factory floor.
