Exactly it's not about extermination but population control. Nobody wants to see the eradication of any species as they all have their niche in the ecosystem.  It is arguable regarding invasive non indigenous species but they provide the hunter with great sport.

To be honest i wouldn't shed a tear if someone shot the last brown rat.

off the top of my head the only animal I can think of that I’d like to see wiped out is the grey tree rat

Again you'd be fighting the animal brigade, because they can be trained to eat out of your hand, they must be good right?

The grey squirrel is a rare exmaple of an invasive species that needs to be totally exterminated because of it's effect on the rare and endangered native red. Conrol will never suffice because of the way the species compete one sidedly and because of the spread of disease by the immune version. I personally almost never would advocate the exterminatioon of any species, invasive or otherwise. However, the grey squirrel is one that's totally justified as there are no native reds without. If there's ever a total grey kill, you can count me in.

That needs passing to police complaints and information commissioners office, as it's surely got to be someone within the Firearms Licensing System for Devon and Cornwall Police, that's leaking the information as there's no other way they'd have the FAC numbers. It could be a hack, but presumably that would be detected and you'd like to think the police national computer was more secure than that. So my money's on a leak straight from the Police database which is an offence in itself.

Devon and Cornwall dosnt get a mention mate .Apparently the leak was from a company trusted with data early on in the pre cull training era .The area is West Wilts .

If you go to the pin map, on the pin map 1 was in Cornwall, with it zoomed out I thought the rest were the Devon / Cornwall border. As you zoom out you can see they're more towards Dorset / Wiltshire. Either way, the person leaking the info should be prosecuted. It clearly contains information from the PNC as it includes certificate numbers. Personally I think the way to avoid this, apart from stiff jail terms for those leaking PNC info, would be to make this detailed information only available to each Chief Constable locally on their PC and require anyone needing info about an individual shooter to request the info from the CC with a record kept of what inof was requested, supplied and to which Police Officer. Individual officers whould only be able to access the most basic of info eg a pin showing where an authorised shooter is located and maybe a secure correspondence system set up for each shooter where personal info is not exchanged as a norm. This also allows for a change of correspondence login if compromised and protetcs details if no personal info is not disclosed. eg shooters could be known by allocated numebrs eg 1234 of Wiltshire.

No mate ,nothing to do with pnc .All contractors gave cert details to cull organisers .You are only allowed on if you have an open cert .I know quite a few of the named lads on there .

That raises questions as to why there are cull organisers rather that just the police licensing individuals and privacy questions about the companies concerned. Surely orgainsation is a job for DEFRA who should decide which land requires culls, and for it to be administered through the police who contact and authorise shooters to go onto the land. No licensing data should be being passed out to 3rd party companies, even DEFRA.

As for the 3rd party company, in my opinion, they need prosecuting for data breaches and the individual needs hunting down and prosecuting for the same.

That is easy to answer. It's called back handers. The more hoops the more back handers. Everyone's a winner ?
