I have a lamp shy maybe two.

I know one frequents a meadow when it is cut and sure enough....

I spied it come out of the barley over 200y away. By the time I saw it again it was 60y. By the time I made sure the sticks were set and the rifle clear of sticks and leaves it was coming my way. At 30y I shot on the trot.

Rest in peace slinky 3 I sure hope you are the last pain in the arse for a while ( tips hat respectfully).

The other news is that I was not happy with the scope on this rifle but baldcoot kindly offered to send to me to try a redfield revenge 3-9x42 and I am quite impressed with the optical quality over what I had on it before.

So thank you baldcoot. I've lost your bank details but can  send you a pound a week, just need a n address?

Did you hit that blue feeder yet mate ?

I wasn’t going to mention this, but when I went to the shoot this morning I took the little.22 with me for some squirrel ? bashing, pulled into the shoot and there was a little gray bast*rd on the track, I grabbed the rifle and noticed there was no bolt in it. So the answer to your question is I hit f*ck all, I’m not saying I would of hit anything anyway but at least I could of made a noise ?

Well done SD , is that “fair weather “ you are holding?

Yes Fairweather.

Actually I'm impressed so far. Two critters fell last night earlier. One at 150+ and another at 130ish. However at those distances it seems to be running out of steam.

The funny thing was though last night....I missed a 30 yard rat! ?

I’ve not got a 17 and have never owned one . I’ve been out with a chap who had one and I wasn’t all that impressed. However a keepering pal of mine who's opinion I respect has one in his truck all the time and wouldn’t be without it . I can see that they would be a great “truck gun”, for all manner of vermin.
Maybe one day I’ll get one , but for now I’m having fun with my 22lr Tikka which as I write this is nestled in the passenger footwell , and goes everywhere with me .
