They can go when they want too Yeah he's been spot on so far apart from that incident with the bone. He was with the litter later than normal so that early protective instinct never got ironed out. He's starting to get a bit rough with dogs already I just hope he doesn't become a nightmare when he's older.
Greb147 6,810
Speaking of him. I've started him on some new 80/20 ratio kibble that's meant to be the dogs bollocks. He loves the stuff tbh but their serving sizes are half the amount of other kibbles, they say it's because their stuff is densely packed with nutrition. Anyway I served him the recommended amount but he still wanted more and finished it in short order unlike his other foods. I then started serving him more than the recommended 350g per day but I noticed that his stools were soft and he seems to have lost a little weight. I weighed him and he had lost a kilo in a week and half on the stuff. The company told me he may be eating too much so his body isn't absorbing the food. Is there any truth to this or is it hogwash, if I eat more I don't get thinner. Edited May 18, 2020 by Greb147

So if I feed him too much he will actually lose weight relative to if I fed him less? His shits starts of a little firmer but gets sloppier when he finishing. He will usually only have 3 shits a day. This kibble is over 30% protein. Their recommendations for the day is 350g for his size, when I split that in to 3 servings it seems hardly nothing.
