Baldcoot 2,352
First time in 5 weeks managed a leave pass after much decorating ,plumbing and drilling ,off to the farm with a big cheesy grin.Loaded up with CCI segs for mr Fox and pard on off i set .Well within 10 minutes a Vixen starts calling ,mm strange no change in noise ,tone or call and it keeps "cycling " by buggers someone across the road is educating them with a sheet call over n over .Leaving them to their play set for a hole in the fence where they like to be shot on their travels but its like God is not pleased ,full moon so im lit up like a christmas tree. Following the hedgerows for shadows can see the Badger cull is lingering ,no Badgers or Munties anywhere but by eck so many wabbits ,where 4 or 5 were common 10 or 12 in each patch. And every now and then the mornfull screech of a Tawny owl can be heard and many a rat runs through the thermal to live another day <airrifles will be used > Well after 3 hours of peace and no earbashing <heaven> no show from Reynard so back t the car for a pack up and tootle home.Thoroughly enjoyed myself ,no i didnt see a fox ,yes i let a few bunnies live to be seen another day but boy are my batteries recharged 10 Quote Link to post

Stavross 18,795
The moon last night was like day light, I went for a walk around the shoot and seen very little, one ginger as I was crossing a field, in the flash of an eye in the NV spotter it was gone, it was nice to see a good few hoppers about and I think I might have a go at them tomorrow at dusk, although the trigger was not pulled it was lovely to be out on a night like that 2 Quote Link to post
BenBhoy 4,706
Good to hear rabbit numbers are looking bit healthier recently. I know they can & have been pest proportions in past, but struggle to see many round here last 5 or so years. Quote Link to post
Sausagedog 7,381
This doe looks like it's has young again in our back garden. Took a photo of her today. It's a good photo in as much it shows the black piece of coal eyes that I look for when I am hunting them in thick cover. 5 Quote Link to post
