Kennel Temperature

What temperature should the inside of a kennel be?  I  know it's difficult, to say exactly because a lot depends on the dog's natural coat, its bedding, even its age. But as a rule of thumb when should a dog receive supplementary heating? What temperature should a thermostat be set at?

Another question. Can a dog cope with being indoors of an evening and then being placed outdoors at night time? I tend to do this in summer but not in winter.

As long as it's draft proof and dry with ventilation for fresh air and a good size run they shouldn't be a problem in uk 

i use straw for bedding and put plenty in so they make there own beds ,my jooks only in kennels part time ,and inside as well ,best to get s young dog used to kennel first before  house as doing other way round u may make a barker out a good kind of dog ,

My dogs in house during day & evening but in kennels overnight. They have access to two big kennels one kennel with htg on one without htg on & quite often they all emerge from kennel with htg turned off but they’ve got the option. Atb
