How to make and mend a net.

Recommended Posts

I don't know if this has already been covered, but here is a short video I have made showing how to tie and mend a net. In my case I use this for making landing nets, crab pots and other fishing related uses. But could very easily be used for making a long net or purse nets for ferreting. ;)

Ive got to say that is a fantastic post. Must have taken him ages to create. And that homemade setup for keeping the net outstretched so its was easier to work with is a brilliant idea. My late grandfather taught me as a lad. Always had a fascination and taken real joy from learning skills like this.

Haha. Prawning is busy stuff mate especially if you’re tailing them. I’ve got a mate who creels for them now. Much less intensive. 👍🏻🦞

Yeah four hours tailing between 5 hour hauls is a tad boring 🤪 by catch was always good though 🤣
