Spent brass

What do people do with their spent .22 brass, seems a shame to just bin it.

I just bin it, a good few years ago I used to shoot on some land with a lad and the farmer used to let the metal detector lot on, so we used to leave them in the field, it drove them mad

They are saleable for scrap, but you need a big pile just to make it worthwhile travelling to the scrap yard.

I used to give a load to a lass who made her own range of jewellery/bangles with them.

Model makers can use them for miniature spent artillery shells,a chap from work took a few from me for that reason.

I've about 5 kilo in a carrier bag, always said it might be worth summat, have to find someone to buy it really. I'll maybe rack a forge and make ingots or something before I find a buyer, but like my old friend still says, enough gunas for an army
