Wrong time of year for fishing mate, wouldn’t mind going back later in the year, some of the trout fishing is out of this world but it’s fly only so that’s you scupperd mate :D......it’s a pretty cool place, some nice bars and restaurants and everyone’s pretty laid back, all have a great standard of living.....

When I was in Bhutan I thought right, this is it,trout time ? loads of big trout there,i mean LOADS and BIG the waters are pristine,i looked around in the tiny capital "city" for a fishing shop, nowt!Asked in the hotel, you have to apply six months in advance to fish, even then you might not get to as they are all-singing all-dancing animals(and fish) have rights too,the hotel had heard of someone a few years ago who did get to fish but it upset a few people :nono:

That looks a beautiful river, would imagine the trout would see you coming a mile away, although if they’re not fished for you may get lucky......great trip and in the memory bank forever.....

Every river there is pristine,no plastic,no rubbish, nothing like india, trout were introduced by the british into india and then into Bhutan, the place didn't even have roads till the 1960's,if you get the chance visit, the capital city hasn't even got traffic lights, they had one but it was too much of a distraction to drivers and people coming to look at it they removed it and reverted back to their famous dancing policeman.
