I am not moving up there mooch,I am going up camping/fishing,theres lots of cheap housing plots up there in towns and on the edges of towns, but living off the grid, sans mains electricity Internet and convenient WalMarts, would be incredibly hard work.

Do a hunters course, send your certificate and application to RCMP,they do a background check and you get your licence in the post mate,no land permission needed as theres 937,000 square kilometers of crown land in Ontario alone,87% of the province is public use.

My mates favourite words "if it's brown it's going down "

So they are being sold as hunting plots ? Probably set up big canvas square tent as digs for the season until you able to make something, some of these plots you need to fly in and out ?

I have a grandchild that will be born in the states next year,I am over here till next year,I have no interest in going genuine off grid,it’s too austere at this stage for me,I am retired and have the freedom I enjoy, maybe if I was younger then yes I was that sort, but life for me personally nowadays isn’t about sitting somewhere till I am in my box,I like being on the move,a rolling stone gathers no moss.
