Smaller fields sell for silly money, the ole gypeyes family all put in a few grand,so make small plots out of reach.2 acre plot down her could be 50,000

My uncle payed 4k for a yard "plot" near Wisbech, its got prefabricated 3 bed bungalow, 4 statics and enough room for couple tourers and room for motor's and kennels,

He bought it in early 90s ,it needed a lot of work, and didn't have any electric but did have running water ,

It's worth a small fortune now but he'll never sell up ,my mother lives with him

remote access ? Probably means you not getting building supplies in ,these places go cheap because it's fcuking hard to live on them otherwise it probably wouldn't be up for sale so cheap , you find a plot with road access, running water ,close enough to civilisation that if you have  a medical problem you goto survive, not everyone is Jeremiah Johnson, living the mountain life would be fcuking hard 🤣

Go over to eastern Europe, land is cheap ,you can buy farms with acres of land and have a hole lot of change.

or go Portugal, buy a villa, pool and live in the sun ,I've seen couple acre plots go in Portugal for few grand ,put static on it , throw pool up and some energy panels you laughing , 90 k for bit woodlands that you never going to get permission to do anything with other than have a shoot ,camp fcuk that

I know how remote it is,I will be up that general area on Sunday.Theres acreage of similar size within a mile or so of the road with argocat tracks and cabins on them for a few quid more,90% of the countries population live within 100 miles of the USA border, that leaves a lot of country with cheap land.

If they communities already living in area you got good chance of making it work and I'm sure you wouldn't jump into something you didn't think would work.

I am not moving up there mooch,I am going up camping/fishing,theres lots of cheap housing plots up there in towns and on the edges of towns, but living off the grid, sans mains electricity Internet and convenient WalMarts, would be incredibly hard work.
