ALWAYS have a plan B!!!!!!!!

On our last trip to this piece of land we left a rather large well established warren alone due to not having enough nets, so this time armed with 400 yrds of longnets, stopnets, a few purse nets 2 boxes of ferrets we were more than ready to do battle this morning, on arriving at said destination, disaster!!!!! A herd of cattle with calf’s and a rather large bull had been turned out into the field, so with that out of the question we crossed the track and into the opposite fields, here we went our separate ways, it was a slow start picking 2s &3s then I had 5 from one warren with a shallow dig to reveal 2 tucked up togethermy tally was creeping up slowly, Nell marking inhabited warrens and my ferrets doing the rest I ended up with 22, my mate was just over the hill with another 20, while he was finishing off a warren Nell took off after a rabbit that had been squat in the grass, she reappeared with rabbit number 43, so all in all not a bad day, for a plan bthat’s all from me...... Had just the 3 today, two at my mates place next to an airfield. Had to be selective as some holes on our side but some on other side of the boundary fence......didn’t fancy explaining to a gun toting guard what we were doing on the wrong side...

Did a 120 mile round trip yesterday..... Walked a few good miles, was boiling, caught f**k allsaw about 5 rabbits all day, running into places you couldnt netshould of stayed local if im honest, same amount of leg work but i would of got a few.........

It was a day out in good company so all was not lost.... Shame we didnt put a few out for our pups to mouth..... Didnt have a real good mark all day even  from my old bitch to be honest, blew my mind as theres always bits and bobs there to keep the dogs busy
