Tapeworm cysts. I accidentally cut one open while skinning a rabbit last year, sprayed fluid from the cyst all over me. The sight of all the tapeworm eggs put me off rabbit for months!

Hate it when that happens, nasty they are. Always cut them out and freeze the rabbit rather than feed it fresh.

I’ve had cysts full puss which were lead shot from shot guns were rabbits have taken a few pellets but not enough to kill them,the ones I’ve seen tend to be on the outer body back legs & back which take the brunt of the shot.

Wernt that in my case mate no one shoots on there had a rabbit last season wi an air rifle pellet in it's skin and old wound healed up

Don’t no then black neck but i bet it’s some kind of injury that’s gone the wrong way,I’ve shot rabbits with there ears missing just two scabby lumps left from when farmer cut the grass for hay and I’ve lost a dog through black thorns going the wrong way, it’s tough out there especially for rabbits there’s always something or someone after them. Lurcher lads are reincarnated as rabbits you best watch out,
