we can do online or paper in north Yorkshire for fac/sgc...

when I spoke to the fao on the phone he said the quickest way was get all the paperwork done and turn up at a show and do the direct/fast-track!

think people are put off applying by how they were when they were younger... thats what stopped me for years,

but if you've kept your nose clean for a while and didn't do anything to bad you stand a good chance of getting your grant through:thumbs:

so glad I did it cos its opened up a hole new world of sport... well worth doing in my opinion

And yes I'll be keeping my hw100 in sub 12 because fac or not there will always be times when to much power is no good!!

if your thinking about it just do it:yes:

I am keeping my Hw100k.177 and Ultra as well . I have a few permissions which are not suited for FAC of any kind IMO

comes in handy for a cheap dispatch and the new toy will come in for the ones that think 100yrds safe:laugh:

There are 2 branches of a well known and very large Supermarket that have holes in the walls to vouch for that. :whistling:  I used to do a lot of Pest Control for them, and pigeons had to be removed from shop floors, the FAC Air was too much and commonly went clean through, so 12ft lb quickly became the tool of choice!

When Lincolnshire launched this method last year, it was said that the big advantage was that instead of a set of papers working it's way round all the different departments, the internal email would be used to send everyone the paperwork at the same time in order that all people involved could work on them when it suited their workload rather than simply piling up until a break in the pattern emerged.

Not sure if that really works but we will see and lets face it, if this type of application comes into effect everywhere and for all gun certificates, it just might speed things up which is good for us all.
