scothunter 12,609
I have an accountant with them which I use for online purchases.Amazon etc etc I don't use it for my main banking tbn i had this account for years and instead of closing it I thought I'll keep it for purchasing stuff online so if it's hacked or scamned they won't get much. Anyway recently I have bought a lot of stuff from Amazon and my ejuice ingredients few new tanks etc. So other day I was in town and thought oh I'll go put some cash in that account while in passing as I had used a few quid out it. So put money in got a receipt etc and all well. Anyway with all this tsb hassle Gong on thought I better check my account. They have credited it £100 to much. What would you do? I can imagine most will say keep it lol just thought I'd throw it out there out of interest.

mushroom 14,109
Leave it there a while, if they notice then no harm. If they don't, after a few months then fuuck them! If they come back say you didn't notice and it's not your problem, draw your remaining money, leave a quid in there and bollocks to them Ps never leave more than the ton in the account after you've drawn it ???

Welsh_red 5,029
I went into a Barclays before and deposited a cheque and a £100 cash. Had to get the girl to help me filling in the form as Im crap at things like that. All got processed and I went on my way . Got home later and realised I hadn't given the girl the £100 cash but it was in my account . Felt bad about it a bit as I thought the girl would get grief for missing money

peterhunter86 8,627
I remember years ago around mid 90s the bank put a lot of money into some blokes account from what I remember it was up to him if he wanted to give it back or not, I was only Young so I didn't really understand the ins and outs of it but I remember a local radio station tracked him down in Spain for an interview so I guess he kept it.
