Rip George

Sadly had the old fella pts this afternoon not 2 months since I lost my old bouvier molly, they grew up together so in a way it was fitting but had expected George being a bit younger to stick around on our wanders for good while yet, alas the dreaded c got a good on him and the sight off him not wanting his food or a walk signalled the worst. Vets confirmed my fears this morning and at 11 yo rather than major surgery thought best to pts and end his obvious discomfort asap.

George was by no means working dog but he enjoyed his walks and has tagged along all over the country. he came to work with me in the armed forces and has lived with me and mol in god knows how many places without any fuss. Sadly he proved a great dog at finding anything dead, the longer dead usually the better for him which wasn't much use to me out amusing all the same. In his more agile youth though he did have a skill for the tree rats and was a tough bugger at times in various scenarios he was breed for. Few pics of him over time rip i will spread your ashes with your old friend molly you will be sorely missed.

Sorry to read about george being p t s but as you said he obviously had a great life and must have loved every minute he was out with you and the rest of the pack. It must have been a hard decision to let him go but you did the right thing by him fella. atb for the future, daywalker.
