Seat Box For Hide Shooting

Recommended Posts

I popped into my tackle shop yesterday and whilst having a route around I came across a cracking litle seat bag/box. I must confess it is nice to sit down but the ground is always uneven so seat buckets are not so good and too low but this is spot on with adjustable height legs to get it level, rucksack straps, good front and side pockets and if you remove the tackle trays, enough room for a number of decoys, lunch, flask and a load of other bits without being too big for in the hide.

One last point, it has a very comfortable padded seat.

It may be of interest to some of you

£49.99 here, just a thought for those who could make good use out of it.

I had a similar seat/knapsack thing years ago and it fell to bits I used it so much. Not as well made as this one looks for £49.99 though. But you'll soon get to love it if you use it in a static hide/shooting spot on your shoot.

Carries your hide net/cammo, packs it away quick, easy to carry and plenty of room for a decent snap and a flask.

Well if I take the two trays out and fill them with fishing bits, I can make pretty good use out of this bit of kit for hide work, shotty or rifle as well as some fishing sessions.

I know, I know, I have quite a few bags for different types of fishing plus a few for shooting but it is quite often the case that I like to use only a certain one or two and I think I could make good use of this one. I put up a hide for a few sessions normally so only carry deeks, food, cartridges etc etc as the hide has been set for a day or two before I use it to allow birds to get used to it and with this in mind, this little seat box will be perfect for me.

Talking of setting the hide up for a few days..................................just got back from collecting my hide which has been in place for 10 days but the high winds and driving rain of yesterday has buggered things a bit with the hide wrapped up in the hedge and two pole points lost :censored: so I need to see if I have some old rod rests that might fit in the pole to make it usable again........... what a twat.

Just found a few rod rests with superb long points that will fit perfectly David so I will trim them down, glue and screw them in place and job done. To be honest I need some better poles and have a couple of these which are spot on so some more will not go amiss.

I'll throw my self down on Badger shit to take a shot before I pay £50 to carry a seat round with me.

You old tight arse , what is 50 squid to a man of your standing................................................well you will be if you don't have a seat :whistling:

I am a sod for creature comforts and long may it continue.
