KES2 171
Out of simple respect we should remember them all and the hell they went through. 9000 dead in the first 24 hours. It is impossible to imagine their individual fears. The only stories I heard from family were the humorous ones. The one I didnt hear was about a best friend who trod on an anti-tank mine and dads feelings of removing pieces of him from his uniform. None of them survived as they had been. We must never let such sacrifice go unremembered.

EDDIE B 3,170
My mates has a great passion for all things WW2, and has a small library of books and literature on the subject. There's one book that he assures me stands out on its own. A mind blowing book which tells the story of what happened to these brave men when they came home from fighting in the war. DEMOBBED https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Books/Demobbed-Coming-Home-After-World-War-Two/0300140436 For anyone who has an interest in WW2, do yourselves a favour, and get this book.
