What Do You Reckon Lads

Recommended Posts

Just put some contingencies in place if you're worried,I'm sure you'd have plenty of offers.

I was almost at the point of getting rid of mine a few years ago when I done my knee in,so it's a good idea for anyone to have a back up plan imo.

For the past few days, ive been toying with the idea of getting a working partner for my mate penny, ive got the time and work for another dog, but fact is , even though im fit in good health, im 73, and by the time I source a pup, get it to workable age, I will be 74 feckin plus, im off out in an hrs time, nowt like being out in the open to sort out my mind, just thought id ask for your opinions, I hate bedding my dog down at night times, her looks lonely sin I lost Nell

Fair play to you Fellah....

You might be right with regard to your dog perhaps looking,.. a bit on the lonesome side....

Dogs, by their very nature,..like to be amongst their own kind,...(not all of them,...because,..same as some people,.myself included)...a few individuals prefer their own company,...they choose to walk alone,..but, as a rule, canines are pack animals and enjoy all the benefits that having a back -up team, can so often provide...

As to whether you should go for another dog,...well,...that is a decision that only you can make..

What I would say is,...and you must know this fact only too well,....Life really is too short,....one day you are here and the next,.you fecking ain't.... :icon_eek:

For the last few years, I have had an almost unbearable desire, to get myself a Herding breed....

I've even made contacts in the States and thinking seriously,.. about importing a dog.

Now, on the surface,...this does seem a tad illogical ,..even a bit on the stupid side ...

I am not a Farmer, I do not own stock, (sheep or Cattle)..and there is scant likelihood of me ever purchasing a Smallholding,..so why this urge to own such a beast ?

Possibly stems from my early childhood days,...and it is an itch that simply will not,.. go away.....

So, in conclusion,....I would advise you to go for it,...but choose wisely,...think what will serve you the best,....then act quickly...

Don't ever live with regrets.....go with your heart... best of luck... :victory:
