Fair play bry, I had been looking at this since it first went up and couldn't decide if I should or not, decided earlier I would have it, came on and you got it, be interested to know how it copes with close range, is 20 yards ish.

they handle short range well; if you can get on with putting your eye right into the scope then they really are fantastic mate

So far it seems so much better than the pulsar N550 Rob

I couldn't get on with that at all but this just seems a bit different to that for some reason.

now I found the n550 a heavy bulky unit with about the same range & quality of vision as the photon; each to there own but that was my opinion.

Yeah, am used to that with my pulsars, I was concerned with the higher mag on these how good close range ratting would be.

I thought my n550 was good until I got the 870, it knocks spots off them.

One thing I like about these photons, they are more conventional scope like, smaller and I would imagine lighter, they also look quite user friendly compared to al the gizmos on the pulsar.

the photon weighs about the same if not less than a normal lightweight scope and is as clear if not better than a n550 so well worth a go mate; I think it will suit you well.
