Value ?

Recommended Posts

I need to value a gun, a friend has asked me to advertise his daystsate as now he has fac it gets no use whatsoever, but I have seen such a variation in prices on these lately, what's the general opinion ?

This is NOT a sales thread, but once I have a value it will be going in the classifieds as per forum rules.

Sorry lads, tired.

Its a daystsate airwolf, not sure if it's an Mct or mvt (not opened the case as yet).

It's .177, carbon wrapped I believe, no idea of age, will check the serial numbers.

It's electronic, comes with a charger and key, 1 mag, fill fitting, daystsate hard case, and instruction booklet.

He tells me it works perfect with no faults, at least it did when he last shot it a year ago !

My mate is coming over tomorrow for a shoot, and been a mega daystsate fan he will have a look and give me the lowdown, we will no doubt shoot it and see what it does.

Should I chrono it for the sales thread or not bother.

depending on how good the wrap is will affect the price, a lot of lads who own these never take them out in the field and when they sell on are in pristine condition!

mine looked like new and i let it go for £800 for a quick sale on its own, no scope just box mag and fill probe!

Cheers si,

I have just opened the case, it is indeed the Mct, serial number MCT 3853 which makes it a 2011 gun

He did use it, but I think he went hunting about 6 times, never shot anything, he is what I call a fair weather hunter ! So I will guarantee it has never been out in the rain, or cold, or wind......get the idea yet ?

It was shot a bit in his yard, no idea how much, but knowing him not a great deal as he goes through phases, then gets bored and tries something else.

The wrap looks in fairly good condition, not mint, I have found a few tiny marks, but overall I would say it's good.

yeah mine was the mtc too...there should be some paper work with what ft.lbd it was putting out when tested witch will be dated!

might be worth taking the wrap off if its not tip top cos its the wood work that generally sells these rifles.

Your the 2nd person to suggest removing the wrap !

I ain't touching it, knowing my luck it will be some dog rough stock and I will have to pay to get it wrapped again.

No paperwork with it other than the instruction booklet

Could be looking at a new battery, they like to keep topped up every couple or three weeks. Failure to do so - equals knackered battery, which is a good £50 to replace!

Ok, see that's why I ask, I don't know anything about these fancy elecwizardry rifles !

It switches on, but that's all I know.

Your right sgm ,

Just hope he turned the key to off before it got stored

And if it's been left for a year , ? Battery will need charging ,just hope it's ok

850 off any body's money all day long

Atb

Yes he turned the key off, I was the first one to turn it back on last night and it said 57%

£850, that's a lot more than I expected.
