They're a good bit of kit alright RH my mates the barryvox pulse I find it slightly more accurate but either way the technology has came a long way from the old knocker boxes

your right there, too close to a barbed wire fence and just sounded like white noise lol but at the time they led the way, who knows what the next ten years will bring in tech

I'm needing a new box, my mate chucked bar in back of van other day an I had box in a bag in back. Point of bar went straight into middle of it!!!!!!! He couldn't have done it if he was trying!!! He's lent me a deben long range, used it day before yesterday and thought it was ok. How come nobody rates them?

I reckon eventually they'll make a device where you can see through the ground like an x-ray to see the dog. Like the thermal night vision we have now. Technology knows no bounds!

Used the Deben long range one day out with a lad that had it. We had a 9ft dig and another 2 handy 2/3ft digs with it, worked no problem I called it space invaders with the noise it made lol. But once you get a Bellman there's no comparison imo.

yes the 1st time your dog enters a land drain pipe they can travel hundreds of yards or more, with the bigger range you can find them a lot quicker

Can't understand why lads worry about volume the sound of digging is a lot louder in the still atmosphere of the countryside, if the volumes an issue put an earphone port into the box and that makes it mute same as the red box but why bother, the volume helps when you set the box down on a mark you've got and then there's a run around it's the first indication you get if the dogs at any depth that you wouldn't hear.

Had some good fun with the old knocker box . You could spend ages looking for the dog in a big place on a windy day , but has been said . There's no comparison .

No worries mate it wasn't aimed at you I just was picking up on what you'd mentioned about the noise, each to there own some lads like the red box because it's quiet. I prefer having the sound atb
