I've always loved my music and am still captivated by vinyl albums and the artwork. it's just not the same when scaled down to cd size. however the convenience of downloads in terms of storage and ease of use across multiple devices cannot be ignored.

I have a 7 year old son who I have always played music to since he was born on Sunday morning when the Mrs goes food shopping. he loves everything from the stone roses, madness, the specials, Bob Marley and everything else in my collection.

in the last year he has got into the charts in a big way and he always has music on and he is on the road to developing his own tastes. he knows every new entry and the climbers and fallers. Friday evening is spent listening to the new chart run down

its also opened me up to today's music which I had previously discounted in favour of my old stuff. not sure if that's a good thing though!
