sandymere 8,263
If the body is getting an adequate diet then it will have adequate reserves so unlikely to need supplementation in the 1st place, if it doesn’t have a decent diet fix that, B12 is plentiful in things like meat, fish eggs etc all basic food items. If there is a shortfall in spite of a decent diet then there is likely to be an underlying cause that needs addressing such as gastric ulceration causing a pernicious anaemia or something like an Exocrine disorder. If worried get your dog’s bloods done, full blood count, along with ferritin, B12 and folate. Basically if it isn’t broke don’t fix it, if it is broke fix the problem not the symptoms ie sort out health problems or dietary shortfalls as adding in supplements is just papering over the cracks…… 2 Quote Link to post

Heart. Fur. If you can copy and wolf's diet as close as you can you won't go wrong. Quote Link to post

neil cooney 10,416
For what it costs, and the recommended amount you add to there food, I think for a growing pup your mad not to use it. And then when your dog gets sick B12 wont be worth a shite to help it recover. Quote Link to post
slip lead 862
I was on about sf50, for growing pups B12 I was told many years ago is to pep a.dog up, if abit under the weather so to speek. Also might add, to get the best from B12 it should be injected... Quote Link to post

mushroom 14,056
Best spending your money on good meat.True mate but you cant go wrong giving NATURAL vitamins and minerals in suppement from natural sources. E.g. I give this tw@t oily fish every week and the guys behind the counter give me the good stuff that goes in the bin extra, for free and I give him that too. Its in addition to his normal meals which would be more than adequate to sustain him but why not give him more? Quote Link to post
