I've been out a few times now? Don't mean to sound daft, but apart from the ethical thing, what is it about catching a few rabbits in summer that's so bad? If my dog see's a rabbit, it chases it Lol they can't be on a lead all summer

everyone on here asking advice... if you have a pup to start and bunnies to go, at run em... the reason so many dogs have bad feet is because they worry about the ground... a dogs who does well in their later ages have been run at everything in every type a ground growing up!

It's too warm for me and mine definitely but fair play to the lads who've managed to do a bit.

I was off last night but couldn't lamp my dogs in that. Nipped out with the air rifle and my mates shotgun to lamp a few rabbits and after an hour and half we were soaking wet with sweat. Shorts and tshirt weather at midnight.

I'm dying to start ferreting but just couldn't imagine anything worse while it's still like this. Sweat and flies Sweat and flies , not to mention shite and myxies, we're you in Vin's truck aswell then ?

There is more than an element of truth to this, a pup’s workload and condition still needs to be carefully, individually monitored and managed, but I do agree.

Must get you lifted in the off roader some night for a run out, when the ground is right of course! I even have my exhaust all welded up!!

Where the cows have been itd like a ploughed field very painful on the dogs feet,also huge cracks for dogs foot to go in.not worth risking injury weeks before the ground softens.i don't lead walk em so if dog does run something it's fingers crossed.
