Ferret Showing and Racing at Montalto Game Fair

 

There will be Ferret Showing and Racing at Montalto on Saturday 24th September

 

Show Classes

1 Any Polecat Hob or Jill

2 Any Albino Hob or Jill

3 Any EU Hob or Jill

4 Any Other Colour Hob or Jill

5 Any Kit Ferret Hob or Jill

 

Winners of Classes 1-5 to compete for Best in Show with the winner then going on to compete in the Champion of Champions.

 

Ferret Racing will commence immediately after the Showing with the winning going on to compete in the Champion of Champions.

 

Trophies for class winners and rosettes up to 3rd place

 

£1 entry fee

 

We will also be holding a Champion of Champions Ferret Show and Racing on the day where the winners from all the Ferret Shows and Races held throughout the year will compete for the overall title.

Here's a quick preview of trophies Albert has kindly put up for the winners of the Ferret Show and Racing Champion of Champions which the winners will receive at Montalto though they've still to be mounted on a mahogany base.

A hugh THANK YOU to all the persons so far who have sponsored and donated prizes to the Ferret Show and Racing to be held at the Montalto Game Fair in Ballynahinch on Saturday 24th September. Thanks to Albert Titterington, Denise Cahill from Hunting For All Ireland, Martin Lavery Pet Food Supplies and MTM UPVC Window Doctor.

 

Some of the prizes on offer will include bronze effect hand sculpted trophies, ferret boxes, ferreting t-bars/probes and 15kg Ferret meal with the usual trophies and rosettes for class winners.

 

Everyone who enters a ferret on the day will be entered into a free prize draw for a 15kg bag of ferret meal donated by Martin Lavery Pet Food Supplies.
