I once saw a guy in thailand who used a tuning fork to bring them out of their holes,they sell tarantula type spider BBQ's in bangkok for tourists,a huge spider on a skewer with some soy sauce. Lol, I'd give it a go. I remember the first fox I ever shot. My mate talked me out of chopping a leg off.
