shropshire dan 467
Hi all I've always had .22 air rifles but took the plunge today and got a stoeger x20 suppressor in .177. My question is whst sort of zeroing range should I be setting up. With .22 I zero at 25 yards but not sure with the .177 having flatter trajectory. Only really going to be used for rats and squirrels Kind regards Dan Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,568
Hi Dan, For the shooting, and expected ranges, - 27 yd pin point zero,- NO " hold under" required. atb mate Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
Thsts great thanks Mark. So if I zero at 27 yards anything upto about 30 yards should be point and shoot sorry if I sound stupid lol Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,568
You only have to think about hold over mate with this zero of 27 yds in .177. You`ll still be pretty much " pin point" at 30 yards atb Quote Link to post
Rez 4,961
The man with a .308 has just bought a .177 air rifle... Well. That's gonna be a come down old Danny boy. Quote Link to post

David.evans 5,323
Never understood the 27 yard zero in 177! , 40 yards zero, and from 30 to 35 1/2 mill dot under, depending on fps ect i zero at 40 , and on a bc of 0.0268 and a p.o.i at range from zero to 60 yards of 3.5 inches (drop) mag x10 , ever 5 yards is a 1/2 milldot over works grand for me anyway atb 3 Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
Thanks alot lads. I'll give it a go and see how I get on. Longest shots are only going to be around 30 yards on rats. Anymore than that I'd have no chance of hitting then lol Quote Link to post

Simon (pianoman, also being one of them I believe). Each to their own. Good luck Danny. Quote Link to post
