Young Man And His Ferrets.

Recommended Posts

Had a young chap pm me ( Richard) just last week, asking If he could buy some rabbits for his ferrets ?

He pm`d his number as he lives close by and I obviously called him back out of courtesy.

Well we must have chatted for at least a good hour and in the end conversation, I told him of the TX tune and the friendly deal was done.

I`ve promised him whatever I shoot this week with the T Rex and tune up on trial he can have for the price of a tin of pellets ( he`s on a winner before you lot start)

He`s took his young family to Cornwall on holiday this week and is ringing me when he`s home.

I`m just going to " give " the lad and his ferrets whatever I shoot this week, young family an` all.

I`ll put up photos of anything shot for weekend lads.

Very good of you Mark, but might I suggest you introduce the concept of him feeding a complete ferret food I.E ferret complete or similar brand, the benefits during the summer months are multiple, the cage smells far less, due to the droppings having a much lower odour, and flies are far less attracted to the cage, than having a semi eaten cadaver, in the nesting box, and the ferrets will receive a proper high fat diet, sometimes lacking with certain carcass feeding.

When I was in my teens I kept two ferrets and fed them on offal from the butchers in addition to rabbit offal and what ever birds I'd shot. Talk about stink! Now you see the pet ones that have been fed a balanced diet living in the house. Totally different concept these days.
