it sounds good on paper.......but if it's an order only......i wouldn't buy it, i like to see what i'm buying when it comes to fresh meat,

Gotta agree with that. Trace-ability of my meat is fairly important to me these days. I buy half pigs and full lambs off a mate, kill enough small game and bambi to feed myself on it daily and gift plenty out. Munjac backstraps for tea last night, fallow jerky stored in the cupboard, pigeon breast kababs marinading, one of my bricks of game terrine from Feb out the freezer to chip away at as and when. The more you work with the basic product, the better you get at turning it into a quality meal and so need supermarkets etc less to do the job for you. I try to eat a lot of game and enjoy experimenting with it and knowing what I'm eating and that I can feed myself, unlike 99% of modern meat eaters.

But yeah, for those not really interested in all that, which is totally fine by me, these bulk buys are good value and from what I have heard making savvy folks in the fitness industry a tidy profit!

That lot would be cheaper in Aldi's The hatch steaks are only different shaped burgers, the flat Iron steaks while being tasty is as tough as old boots. Chicken breast is only £3.39 per kilo in aldi and £2.99 in home bargains.

yes mate...we use to buy pretty much of our meat from our friends who had a farm, beef, pork, etc....the beef was welsh black, not to sure what the breed of pig but it was tasty, as my wife worked there, she see them being born, so you knew what you was getting, i did once buy a whole lamb from the farm just up the road from me for £60, i shared it with the in-laws, i thought it was a bargain until i cooked it.....god it was tough, it was so tough my English bull terrier cross staff had trouble chewing it :yes:so i never did that again...

There's a Home Bargains just opened near us, the £2.99 chicken fillets are decent quality (frozen) between 5 and 8 in a kilo pack.

There tinned toms are 25p each, mackeral in tom sauce 89p a tin and their bird food is cheap also.

Cheers, D.
