Trigger On Body Grips

Is it possible to renew the trigger/ trigger wires on body grips?

 

Have 2 traps which are ok except where one of the trigger wires has rusted and broken. Rather than bin and buy again would like to replace the trigger.

 

Looks like I can drill out the old rivets, replace the trigger wires and bolt together.

 

Any one tried this? Does it work?

I drilled the rivets out used some thick stainless wire and re riveted should last good couple years now.

What's the largest Conibears y'all can use over there ? A 5x5 with a coin pan would seem to be perfect !

4~1/2 X 4~1/2 is as good as it gets I'm afraid. BMI 116 is a very popular trap over this side of the waters.

Question for you Wolfdog91, and sorry for hijacking this thread, but does anyone in the US supply Sauvageau trap pans? Haven't found anywhere, and i hear good things about them.

I know of Barker pans but I didn't know savageau made pans. I'll ask on trapperman.
