I've been up to the community centre and ticked the UKIP box,for all the good it'll do.   You could dig up Jimmy Saville's corpse and stand it for labour here and it'd win by a landslide.

Don't forget to get out and vote lads

I forgot to add if you're voting UKIP feel free to forget to vote   Seriously though, whoever you plan on voting for just get out and exercise your right.

UKIP don't need to worry. I'll be doing my bit.

Democracy includes the right not to vote, if that's your choice.

You're getting quite good at pointing out the obvious

Just pointing out that non-voters are also exercising their right.....call me pedantic !

Probably fair when it's said "if you don't vote, don't complain", though ?

I'd say it depends what you're complaining about, if you didn't vote because you didn't agree with any of the candidates standing you'd be justified in complaining that there isn't a party that represents your views to vote for but if you're going to complain that the party you support didn't get in when you couldn't be fecked to vote for them then that's a bit foolish.

Considering how hard it was to find the polling station and how many people were actually there, I predict a runaway victory for the UKIP candidates in my area.

The low turnout in these elections means every vote really does count, there could be councillors and PCCs elected with single digit majorities

I've got to be honest, I'm struggling to see how any of them are going to affect my life significantly. I appreciate some will feel that certain candidate's policy is standout but for me....

And I do feel a little guilty about that.

I'm kind of with you on this BH - at least in the current climate.

Council's and PCCs are operating under policies dictated by central government, and there is no serious opposition there !

My council had this years budget cut by £22 million, and I can't see how a different ruling party would make any difference at all to that !

Am I alone in not even knowing who my PCC is ?
