Ivectermin Dosage?

I asked my vet about it before and he said it only kills the odd collie. He said he used it on collies for farmers when there was no other choice and it done no harm. But it was always a last resort using it he said

I still would not take the risk with collies has a local farmer killed 2 unrelated dogs he said he gave them 0.2 mill each,has said best to use for skin conditions and not has wormer

Only dogs with the MDR1 gene can have serious complications on ivermectin. Yes most collie types are renowned for having it, so do other types also. An easy test in the vets will let you know if a dog has it. There shouldn't be any collie in my terriers so hopefully if I feel the need to use it I will be ok, fingers crossed lol.
